Important Participant Parking Information

The primary contact for each participating group will be emailed parking passes to print out and distribute to their drivers. Each group parking pass will be individualized and numbered. Please note that each member of your group that arrives and enters the parking lot, that vehicle will be counted against the total number of parking passes issued to your group. Once that number is reached, no more vehicles for your group will be allowed entry and will be directed to the Event Parking garage. The Event Parking garage is free but a few blocks walking distance. (For example, Group A was emailed 5 parking passes to print and distribute accordingly. The first 5 vehicles that check in will be counted for that group. However, vehicle #6 and beyond will not be allowed entry to the Participant Parking lot.) We are distributing passes based upon the number the primary contact requested when he/she submitted the parade application.

It is very important if you need additional parking passes to make a request to cnycparking@stocktonchinese.org

Due to the limited number of parking spaces, not all requests can be granted. We will do our best to accommodate as many requests as we can but cannot guarantee.

If I have a large group consisting of 5 or more cars, how do we park together?

  • We will be designating specific areas for large groups (such as marching bands). Nonetheless, you must show your parking pass to allow entry. Volunteers will guide you to your designated area. Should you have an equipment truck or trailer, you must notify us immediately so we can accommodate you.

Where can I obtain more parking passes for my group?

  • Passes have been issued based upon your request during application submission. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PARKING PASS TO ENTER the Parade Participant parking lot. Should you need more parking passes, you must contact Chuck Chen cnycparking@stocktonchinese.org before March 2nd. Passes are not guaranteed since it is based on space availability. Otherwise, you will have to park at the Ed Coy Garage across from the downtown movie theaters, which is free.

Where can my family & friends park?

  • There is FREE event parking in the Ed Coy Garage on Hunter Street, across from the downtown movie theaters.

  • Rain or shine, the show will go on!

How do I decorate my vehicle?

  • We are celebrating the “Year of the Tiger”, so anything with tigers on your decorations will be fitting. Colors of red and gold are always encouraged since they represent the Chinese culture. Please have a banner for your vehicle so that the audience and emcees can identify with you or your organization.

Do I need to have a convertible as my vehicle?

What if I am being dropped off to join my group?
